About this Service
Concrete overlay at Texas Motor Speedway resurfaces garage bays, service areas, and event-floor zones with thin cementitious or epoxy systems. It suits facility managers who want a sealed, textured surface without full slab replacement for heat-exposed, high-traffic areas.
Work starts with mechanical grinding, oil-stain removal, crack repair, and moisture checks to improve adhesion and limit delamination. Vehicle heat and outdoor humidity alter cure windows and material choice, so heat-resistant epoxy grades or cementitious mixes are selected.
Typical overlays are 1/8-1/2 in (3-12 mm) and provide texture, integral color, and added slip resistance when paired with an abrasion-resistant topcoat. Overlays restore appearance and simplify cleaning but have load and longevity limits; badly distressed slabs may still require partial replacement and installs timed around event season.
